Following my early career in teaching, I qualified as a counselling psychologist at Witwatersrand University in 2000. Since then I have been employed in the voluntary, public and private sectors as both a clinician and senior manager.

From 2004-2008 I underwent further training to enhance my practice: in Gestalt Psychotherapy at Metanoia Institute in London, and in life coaching.

Alongisde my work with individuals and couples, I devise bespoke group courses, workshops and seminars.  I also specialize in sports and motivational psychology and work with elite and professional athletes.

Everyone is unique, and our different approaches to learning and development reflect this. To help my clients achieve their potential I have a wide range of skills and experience, having been trained in, and practised, Integrative (Psychodynamic, Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioural, amongst other) and Gestalt therapeutic techniques.

I recognise - and research consistently shows - that the specific therapeutic approach taken is far less important to positive outcomes than the quality of the relationship built between client and therapist. My track record of success is based on consistently building strong working relationships across a wide range of clients, issues and timescales.

I am a registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). I am chartered by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and abide by their Code of Ethics.
